The year
next time, the iPhone will celebrate its 10th birthday, and according tolatest recent rumorsApple prepares for
the opportunity a high-end model which promises quite a few changes and
new features such as an edge-to-edge OLED screen, a new all-glass design,
or even wireless charging.
In the meantime, the 1st generation iPhone that Steve Jobs revealed to the world
in 2007, is now apparently worth a fortune on sales sites
auctions withprice exceeding 10,000 euros for a model
ninestill in its packaging.
A quick check on eBay shows prices ranging from9000 to
20,000 euros for a model never usedpremiere iPhone 2G
generation and which is still in its original box.
Same story on American sites, prices can exceed the
15,000 dollars for an original model in its never-opened box, and
a few thousand dollars if the box has already been opened.
Over the years the price of the 1st generation increases, and the
collectors seem to be willing to pay a large sum to acquire
the first model in new condition.
