The glass in
'synthetic Sapphire crystal'made a lot of talk about him
this moment. While we know that Apple hasput the turbo
for its factory in Arizona, a video showed thecharacter
scratch-proof of the componentjust yesterday.
Today, it's the Arizona factory in question again
since Apple would havemassively invested in machines
allowing mass production of iPhone screensintegrating this
promising component:
Apple has already purchased no less than518 machinesin order to
produce synthetic sapphire for the screen of the next iPhone. In addition to
that,420 additional machineswould already be ordered
to increase the capacities of the Arizona plant. Thus equipped, the factory
would be able toproduce between 103 and 116 million screens of a
5 inch diagonal sapphire glass per year. This ability does not
taking into account that the machines installed, the arrival of the 420 new
would allow Apple to manufactureup to 200 million
screens.
These figures must be put into perspective since the documents speak of a size
of 5 inches while the screen of the nextiPhone 6
should instead be around 4.7/4.8 inches. This difference would allow
to produce even more screens unless Apple intends to do the same for
the iPad screen.
All we can say today is that Apple is moving up to speed
superior in order to integrate the 'synthetic Sapphire crystal' glass into its
products, and we can hope to see new components or a new range
of products using this very resistant material by the end of the year.
