iTunes Match, the new music service
from Apple has been available in France since December 16, 2011. We told you

billetand even tried to answer some of the questions you
could you sit inthis other
billet.
In order to further optimize iTunes Match, Apple is working on a
new audio format in order toadapt the quality of the music to the
user's reading and network conditions:
If we believe
The Guardianrelayed by
AppleInsider, Apple would develop a new format that would adapt
automatically to the user's reading conditions.
Thus, a song listened to via Wifi would be of better quality than if it is
listened to in 3G in order to adapt to the bandwidth level of your
network.
The user would not have to make a quality choice depending on where he
is, it is iTunes Match which will adapt automatically and this transfer
should be completely transparent to the user.
Knowing that your Data plan is not unlimited and has a Fair
Use more or less limited depending on your operator and your package, this solution
could prove particularly interesting.
For example, we could think that a song on WIFI would be in AAC quality
256 kbits/s to switch to AAC 128kbits/s or another new format like
the rumor suggests with a 3G connection.
Now all that remains is to wait for an official reaction from Apple
in the weeks or months to come to find out what formats could
having been chosen.
What do you think? Do you use (or not) iTunes Match?
Are you satisfied with the listening quality?
