Apple Pay launched in Europe in 2015 at Visa

During the conference this Tuesday evening,
many new features have been announced by Apple. Besides the new iPhones
and the Apple Watch, Apple showed its Apple Pay payment system: or
how to pay simply by bringing the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus close to a terminal and
by validating with your fingerprint.

This novelty which could ultimately change our use of cards
physical blueprints, provided that it is deployed widely. For the US, this
will be done before the end of the year, Apple announced it and it is
traditionally on its "domestic" market that Apple launches this type of
novelties. But what about other countries?

So, this is Pedro Sousa, responsible for contactless and mobile payments
for Visa which indicates it at V3: "Visa works with Apple to
deploy Apple Pay in Europe in 2015", after the launch of the US in
October this year.

This deployment will involve 1.5 millionpayment terminals
contactless already present in stores on the continent. THE
Visa customers will then be able toadd their payment card to their
passbook on iPhone 6/6 Plus or Apple Watchand pay in
approaching the machine to a payment terminal, after having
validated with their fingerprint.

With this information, which still remains vague in terms of date, but with
already international partners, we can hope that Apple Pay will not follow
the path of iTunes radio, launched by Apple last year and remained until then
confined to the US.
