It's official: the former office of
Aix-en-Provence tourism located on Place Charles de Gaulle will be demolished in the
coming weeks to make way for a brand new Apple Store, one
of the six in the world with architecture entirely designed by Apple, with those of
New York, Shanghai, Chicago, Sydney and Beijing.

The building will only be one floor high and will have the particularity of being 3/4
transparent and therefore made of glass. One of the walls will, however, be
“solid” to install screens and hide the storage area at the rear.
The old tourist office:
Some details: as tradition dictates, no Apple logo is
visible on this construction. The town hall, for its part, requested that the project
is built according to earthquake prevention standards: the
fragility of the construction will only be apparent. The opening of this Apple
Store is scheduled for late 2012 or early 2013 at worst.
