Apple has just released a new update called watchOS 5.3.2 for the Apple Watch Series 4. This version is aimed at Apple Watch Series 4 users who have an iPhone that is not compatible with iOS 13, i.e. a iPhone 5s or iPhone 6.
Indeed, watchOS 6 is only available to users with an iPhone running iOS 13. As a result, they cannot benefit from security fixes integrated with watchOS 6.
This new version 5.3.2 therefore fills this gap for these Apple Watch Series 4 which remained with the previous version of watchOS.
It mainly includes several security fixes intended to protect the device against external attacks.
There are only a small number of users affected, as Apple Watch Series 4 users must have an iPhone 5s or iPhone 6. Other iPhones are compatible with iOS 13 and therefore can update their Apple Watch with watchOS 6.
