Friends go on a road trip to recreate Apple wallpapers

If macOS wallpapers have certainly made some people want to travel for several years, Andrew Levitt took the plunge accompanied by a few friends.

Apple wallpapers photographed

Indeed, they visited several emblematic places immortalized by Apple in order to compare the reality of the places with the images of the Apple brand. In this sense, this road trip took Andrew Levitt, Taylor Gray and Jacob Phillips to the High Sierra, Yosemite National Park, the Mojave Desert, as well as Santa Catalina Island and the Sierra Mountains.

As they indicated, they were unable to go to the surf spot called Mavericks due to the season, while they indicated that they only had to go to see Catalina for the launch of MacOS Catalina!

The resulting video is dated September 9, 2019, shortly before Apple presented its new OS. In it, Andrew Levitt explains the difficulties encountered, including not knowing exactly where the photo of the Mojave Dune, located in the desert of the same name, was taken. The friends explain that they initially missed the timing before making another attempt under the sun in the middle of July.

Note that you can download the wallpapers created by Andrew Levitt's team. The download link is in the YouTube video description,to be found there.
