Images: the design of the new iMac and Mac Pro revealed?

In a video shared yesterday on his YouTube channel, Jon Prosser tells us about future products planned by Apple. Among them, the next iMac. As a reminder, its last edition dates from last year, when its screen was revisited to offer a 5K experience to users. A few leagues fromthe Pro version of the device, still on sale also in its much darker color.

The following versions, on the other hand, would this time be entitled to…Five shadesdifferent! Not unlike those of the iPad Air unveiled a few months earlier, these are rather lively and contrast with the often professional environments in which this type of machine is often found. Judge for yourself, the result is quite striking - not to say surprising -:

What can change

As we can see in these renderings whose origin remains to be verified, Prosser regularly making mistakes, the new iMac also seems to be inspired byPro Display XDR. This screen, sold without a central unit, has much straighter edges and not a curved aluminum shell like the emblematic Apple computer.

On the back, the manufacturer would keep the USB ports andUSB-C(the latter being more numerous; four and not two) allowing you to connect different accessories to the beast. An Ethernet socket, essential to benefit from the best speeds while browsing, would also always be included. You don't change a winning team, as Cupertino's latest financial results prove.

Mac Pro 2021

Another rumor that Prosser offers us: that of the arrival of a new Mac Pro, this time stampedmini. Nothing very surprising to tell the truth, as we know that it is now a habit for the Apple brand to market compact or more affordable versions of its flagship products. iPhone 12,Apple Watch (with the SE)or even HomePod: everyone seems to be entitled to it.

The Mac Pro mini could be powered by the future chipM2, succeeding the proprietary M1 processor whose success continues. So, even with a format closer to an Apple TV or a Gamecube, the success of silicon CPUs is certainly not about to stop. The Mac mini had better watch out!
