In a new concept shared by the YouTube channelConcept Central, we discover a new version of iOS which has nothing to envy of the current one. As a reminder, we are currently at iOS 17.3 of the American operating system, butthe iOS 17.4 version is already being tested in beta.
Our video of the day, for example, suggests customizing the shortcut installed at the bottom right of the locked screen, today dedicated solely to launching the virtual flashlight. It would then be possible to press the button to access the Wi-Fi settings, a shortcut of the eponymous app or even aFocus modevery precise. As a reminder, with the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple already offers to customize the functionality triggered by pressing the Action button installed on the edge of the devices.
Another change: Concept Central offers to create a widget allowing access to the options of theControl centerdirectly from the home screen. As a reminder, widgets have been available on the latter since the update to iOS 14, but the interactive versions of these small interfaces have only been offered since September, i.e. when iOS 17 was deployed to the general public.
TheDynamic Islandat its maximum
To go further, Concept Central imagined how new apps could take advantage of theDynamic Island. This is particularly the case of the proprietary voice assistant Siri, with the now famous animation of its official icon, which we also find on the mixed reality headsetApple Vision Pro.
We can also cite the case of messages, or the functionality ofcopy/pastefrom the Photos platform. As a reminder, the latter allows you to store all of your photos in the cloud, with no less than five gigabytes offered to all buyers of a new iPhone.
New features for the Photos app
Still regarding the Photos app, Concept Central suggests giving users the possibility ofstacksimilar images to improve ergonomics. In the example highlighted by the video, the different photos of a dog in its basket captured at the same time are thus brought together and widely “air” the gallery.
Finally, we particularly appreciate the option to remove a subject from an image, which many online tools already offer thanks to artificial intelligence.
