iPhone 12: no chargers or headphones, act 2

At the moment, analysts and rumors are waging war over the accessories that will accompany the next iPhones. On the one hand, there is the camp of those who think that the new models normally presented in September by Applewould not include in the box neither charger nor headphones. On the other hand, there is the camp of those who maintain that they would come accompanied by at least one charger, possibly even more powerfulthan the one previously delivered with the iPhone.

Well the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo ranks in the first, that is to say the one supporting the absence of charger and headphones. Indeed, in its most recent report, it states that iPhone 12 buyers will not find a power adapter or even headphones in the box. According to him, the reason for this withdrawal would be Apple's desire to keep the same price for the iPhone 12 as for the iPhone 11. Removing headphones and charger would therefore allow the manufacturer to limit the increase in price for the new generation, while this would offer important new features, including 5G, supported by expensive components.

In addition, the Californian firm would take the opportunity to defend the environmental cause by possibly justifying that many iPhone buyers already have one or more chargers and headphones at home.

Finally, the Apple specialist who is the source of these revelations adds that the 20 watt charger previously expected to be delivered with the iPhone should in fact be sold separately, to replace the previous 5 and 18 watt models currently on the shelves.

We obviously imagine that the other major benefit of removing headphones, which Tim Cook would emphasize less, will be to sell more AirPods. We are therefore already a long way from the time when we imaginedApple includes AirPods in its iPhone 12 boxes.
