Mark Gurman, analyst and journalist at Bloomberg, publishes a weekly newsletter about Apple. In this and its latest edition released yesterday, several characteristics concerning the iPhone 13 were supported. Incidentally, Ming-Chi Kuo, another major specialist from the Californian firm, yesterday also provided information on what he plans for the iPhone 13, particularly in terms of storage capacities.
So, putting it all together, here are the notable new features of the new iPhone 13 range which should be presented tomorrow evening at 7 p.m., during a new Apple keynoteto follow by our side:
- Design :no major design change, apart from the Face ID notch which should, for the first time on iPhone, be resized and take up less space on the screen
- Screen and case size:same formats as for last year's range, namely one iPhone with 5.4 inches of screen diagonal, two iPhones with 6.1 inches and one iPhone with 6.7 inches.
- Video :appearance of the equivalent, for video, of Portrait mode for photos (with background blurred when a face is targeted by the lens), called modeCinematic Video. Also included is a new high-quality recording resolution in ProRes format, reserved for the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max models.
- Photo :new smart technology automatically applying filters to photos
- Power :new A15 chip, with the same number of cores as the A14 in the iPhone 12, but with a slightly accelerated cadence
- Screen :arrival of LTPO technology including 120 Hz cooling
- Storage capacities:Apple is doubling capacities this year and would no longer offer 64 GB. In addition, 1 TB would be on the program for the Pro models. We must therefore count on 128, 256 and 512 GB for iPhone 13 and 13 mini, and 128, 256, 512 and 1024 GB for iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max
If at this stage, this is only a confirmation of characteristics already heard in previous rumors, it should however be noted that Mark Gurman also insists on the appearance of compatibility, on the iPhone 13, with LEO satellite networks . The analyst specifies, however, that it is possible that Apple deploys the technology on the iPhone 13 generation, without activating it at the software level before 2022.
He finally adds that there will be no question of replacing traditional networks, but only of being able to send signals in emergency situations.
