Release of macOS Ventura 13.3 (public beta) and Studio Display update

  • macOS Ventura 13.3 (beta) is now available to the public
  • Users now need to approve reading from an SD card
  • The Studio Display monitor is also updated in beta

After launchinga new public beta for its mobile operating systemsRecently, Apple just did the same with macOS Ventura, its software for laptops and desktops. This is now equipped with version 13.3 (beta), which is no longer just intended for developers, with some brand changes in the version notes shared by the publisher. We learn, for example, that MacBooks with Apple silicon chips now require users toapprove the connection of an SD cardto their machine when it is inserted into the port provided for this purpose. This could prevent hacking in the future, particularly onthe 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro from 2023which are among the most recent to feature compatible technology.

As for additional features, that's about it: we haven't noticed any more major improvements on the horizon. On the other hand, on the side ofbug fixes, Apple has had a field day here, with SwiftUI, StoreKit, the extensions of the proprietary Safari browser and its office tools: Pages, Numbers and Keynote. It is recommended to install this version only if you have hardware dedicated to testing, otherwise the risk of crashing your Mac may slow you down.

Update for Studio Display

At the same time, Apple also updated its most affordable external monitor, namely the Studio Display. It has a camera and runs on a modified version of iOS, which explains why users receive new versions of the software from time to time.

According to information shared since its release, the Studio Display operating system in beta which has just been offered is also numbered16.4but nothing is known about its contents. The Cupertino release notes do not mention any additional features.
