According to a new report fromTrendForce,who already estimates that the iPhone 13 will set sales records this year, another more affordable model is in preparation for the first quarter of 2022. This is obviously the third generation iPhone SE. This is not the first time that such a device has been talked about:already last October,MyDriverstalked about its supposed new design.
What other changes can we expect for this mobile? For today's source, connectivity currently “limited” to a theoretically slower standard would first move to 5G. The rest comes to us from other rumors, shared in advance by different media.
Price and nomenclature
For Ross Young, this future product would take the name iPhone SE Plus. A rumor which confirms others according to which the diagonal would go from 4.7 inches to 6.1 inches with a format more similar to that of the iPhone XR but still without Face ID, with the fingerprint sensor instead. The end of compact laptops therefore seems to be announced at Apple, given that the iPhone 14 mini should not see the light of day either due to disappointing sales figures for the versions preceding it.
Note, however, that the iPhone SE 3 could be even cheaper than the previous one, excellent news for customers.
Predictions (market)
TrendForcewe are counting on twenty-five to thirty million iPhone SEs leaving the factory over the whole of 2022, compared to almost double for the iPhone 13s alone in the third quarter which has just ended (+22, 6% compared to the period from April to June).
As predicted by other clues, Apple is also preparing to reveal no less than four iPhone 14s by next September. Various hypotheses have therefore bet on only two screen sizes: 6.1 and 6.7 inches. The main difference between the duo of each of these diagonals being the pure and photo performances.
The only downside: this range could see its price seriously increased, with perhaps a base price of a thousand euros. The third generation iPhone SE, with its respectable technical sheet (A15 processor?) and its positioning well below, should therefore benefit greatly. To be checked…
