Philips Hue connected lamps will be compatible with iOS 12 “shortcuts”

Version 12 of iOS will include a new feature called Siri Shortcuts.Presented here, it will allow you to personalize phrases to say to Siri to launch one or more actions linked to Apple apps, accessories and third-party apps. And Philips announced during the IFA in Berlin, the annual electronics fair, that it will be there. More precisely, its Hue connected lighting ecosystem will becompatible with Siri “Shorcuts” or “Shortcuts”:

We imagine examples such as the following voice command “Hey Siri, start Evening mode” which could launch an “Evening” playlist on Apple Music, while reducing the brightness of the Hue lamps in the living room.

Currently, iOS 12 is still in beta. Apple released the latestversion as of this test versionbefore the weekend. He isIt is already possible to test the beta version of the “Shortcuts” application, the successor to theapp Workflow gratuite icietacquired by Apple in March 2017.
