On Twitter, Jon Prosser, tech informant, has been active for several weeks now and particularly interested in everything that the Apple firm is preparing. Moreover, thanks to him and a few other well-placed specialists, this year's iPhone 12 and 12 Pro range no longer seems to have any big secrets. Even less since the last delivery of this serial “leaker”.
A few hours ago, he in fact disclosed alist of detailed specifications of the next iPhone, withtheir price. Please note, all of this is just rumors. But it should be noted that Jon Prosser has so far had a fairly accurate track record in terms of predictions.

OLED for everyone and everyone for OLED
According to the source, and as previous reports already announced, all iPhone 12s would have aOLED screen. On iPhone 12 and 12 Max, we should count on a Super Retina OLED panel from the manufacturer BOE. On 12 and 12 Pro, Samsung would sign a Super Retina XDR OLED panel. And likeseen recently, on the Pro range, OLED would benefit from the technologyProMotionand a10-bit color depth(range of over a billion colors).
RAM, photo and material
On the RAM side, the iPhone 12 and 12 Max would have some4 Go, as on the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, against6 Gofor the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
In terms of photo capabilities, iPhone 12 and 12 Max would integrate a camera withtwo objectives, againstthree for Pro models. The latter would also benefit, like the latest iPad Pro, from a LiDAR sensor. No LiDAR on iPhone 12 and 12 Max, therefore.
Finally, the body would be made of aluminum on iPhone 12 and 12 Max, and stainless steel on the Pro models.
Prices: good or bad surprise?
Below are the supposed prices for the iPhone 12 range, with in parentheses for each dollar price the euro equivalent indicated on the basis of the conversion that Apple is currently operating on its products.
iPhone 12 and its 5.4-inch screen
- 128 Go : 649 $ (759 €)
- 256 Go : 749 $ (859 €)
The cheapest iPhone 11 costs $699, or 809 euros here. This year we would therefore be entitled to an entry-level model at a price reduced by 50 euros compared to the previous generation.
iPhone 12 Max and its 6.1-inch screen
- 128 Go : 749 $ (859 €)
- 256 Go : 849 $ (979 €)
Note that unlike the iPhone 11, which offers 3 storage variants, 64, 128 and 256 GB, the iPhone 12 and 12 Max would only offer two.
iPhone 12 Pro and its 6.1-inch screen
- 128 Go : 999 $ (1159 €)
- 256 Go : 1 099 $ (1259 €)
- 512 Go : 1 299 $ (1459 €)
iPhone 12 Pro Max and its 6.7-inch screen
- 128 Go : 1 099 $ (1 259 €)
- 256 Go : 1 199 $ (1 359 €)
- 512 Go : 1 399 $ (1 679€ €)
For the Pro range, more than 64 GB, but 128 GB as the first choice of storage. Also, the price list should not change between iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro. This would imply, among other things, that the iPhone 12 Pro 128 GB would cost the same price as the iPhone 11 Pro 64 GB.
What about iPhone 12 5G?
If we get used to these revelations, we can only welcome with joy the drop in price of the iPhone 12 compared to the 11, and the absence of a price increase for the Pro models. The fact remains that this report says nothing about the 5G versions that could be offered for one or more of these new iPhones,as seen there, also implying a price increase compared to the 4G versions.
However, after the iPhone SE for less than 500 euros with its top processor, Apple could strike a second blow this year with itsiPhone 12 starting at 759 euros, if all this proves verified within a few months.
