Apple is expected to present iOS 17 on June 5. The Apple brand will be watched by the whole world during the next WWDC and many developers are waiting to learn about Apple's latest software innovations. But according to several rumors in recent weeks, they risk being disappointed.
Indeed, Apple would have chosen to limit innovations with iOS 17, thus favoring the stability and proper functioning of the options already present in the OS of our iPhones. A daring choice on the part of the Apple brand which has already been struggling with the adoption rate of its operating systems for several years.
In the absence of a flagship new feature that would carry the update, Apple could make a “failure” and thus not convert users who are already reluctant to make updates. On Twitter, the account@analyst941is more than pessimistic about the fate of iOS 17 and the level of novelty of this future OS.
In his message posted on the social network to the blue bird he lists 15 “new features” which should arrive next June. Not enough to jump to the ceiling though. Most of the announcements concern the functioning of certain native applications.
Compatibility always at the top?
Ultimately the only good news in the absence of new features on this update seems to be its compatibility. If iPhone 8 owners in particular are quite worried about whether their phone will still be able to support the latest version of iOS, it seems that this will be the case within a few months.
In September, when the first general public version of iOS 17 is launched, the same phones already compatible with iOS 16 should be able to update and benefit from the latest versions of their favorite applications.
