Steel HR: the new designer watch from Withings has heart and… a mini screen

At the international electronics exhibition
IFA in Berlin, which is taking place right now, the French manufacturer
Withingspresented a new product. This is the
Steel HR, or aconnected watchcentered
on activity with heart rate sensor, step counter,
distance and calories, but which also maintains the basic functions type
notifications, call alerts, etc. After theGear
S3
, and perhaps before an Apple Watch 2, it's time for watches
connected in these back-to-school days:

The Steel HR looks a lot like aclassic watch, with
its round case, its single button on the side and a very minimalist dial.
A particularity of the latter, a small round black and white screen is
integrated into the upper partand allows you to display
information like text and call notifications, step count
performed, heart rate, etc.

With the measurement of the wearer's activity and pulse, this watch is intended
rather to athletes, who will be able to find the data recorded in
l’application iPhoneHealth Mate.

But hissober look and its few features
connected
could also appeal to the less active.

Especially since the autonomy announced by Withings for its Steel HR can
tilt the scales in his favor:2 hours of charging would be enough
to last 25 days on the battery
.

Finally, the icing on the cake is that it is water resistant up to 50 m.

The Withings Steel GR will be available in 2 models, each offered in black or
in white, one with a 36 mm case, the other with a 40 mm case. Availability
of the Steel HR is announced for theOctober 1. Concerning
the prices will be199.95 dollars a 40 mmet179,95
dollars a 36 mm
.
