Apple's next mobile operating system,iOS
7, should be presented during theconference
opening of WWDC 2013 next Monday to follow live here.
As we already knew, one of Apple's great strengths is to offer
the latest evolution of iOS to practically the entire range of mobile terminals
through the iPhone, theiPod Touchor even
l’iPad.
Chikita Insightshas just published a new study based
on aanalysis of approximately 300 million web pages viewed in the United States
and in Canada at the end of Mayto bring out statistics on the
iOS versions adopted by users.
And the figures speak for themselves since it appears thatiOS 6
represents no less than 92.7%iPhones in frontiOS 5 which
still represents 5.5%of the market.
Regarding theiPad,iOS 6
represents 82.9%followed byiOS 5 with 13.4%.
It must be emphasized that theiPadfirst
generation does not (unfortunately) have access to iOS 6 and remains stuck at iOS 5.
It must be recognized that theOTA updates(Over The
Air) have greatly simplified the iOS update procedures.
It will be interesting to watch in a few months the speed at which
iOS 7will be adopted once it is proposed to the general
public.
