We tested Real Racing 3 on iPhone: first impressions

Although it was only supposed to come out at the end
of the month Real Racing 3 is already available in Australia, New Zealand
as well as in Canada.

We had the chance to test it after a few minutes of play and
decided to give you our first impressions of the game but also of its
freemium side which is new in this 3rd version.

Let's go for a little ride behind the wheel of dream cars:

From the first launch, we are immediately in the bath since a
introductory course is offered. A quick tutorial shows the commands
to turn, brake and change view.

As you would expect, the graphics are striking and
extremely realistic. On the circuit, the controls respond well and it is a
real pleasure to drive this car.

Once the race is finished, we are faced with the home screen. Before
everything, you must of course afford a car and for the moment, two
models only are affordable.

As soon as the car has been chosen, the pangs of freemium are already beginning to take hold.
make feel. In the game, two currencies are available:

  • The RS which are earned at the end of each race and which allow
to purchase new vehicles and make repairs. It is possible
to buy some if you are short
  • The helmets, 20 are offered, and which will then have to be purchased with real
    euros to avoid waiting.

Please note, in the shop section, it is possible to obtain helmets
for free by downloading sponsored apps.

To purchase your first car, you will have to spend a few
thousands of RS but also wait 2 minutes. To play right away, it
you will have to choose to spend the first 2 helmets.

On the main menu, the available and unlockable races are
displayed. At the end of each run, damaged items are displayed and
it is then possible to carry out repairs. Several options are available
then to the player:

  • Repair the car for a few RS and a little patience. Each
repair requires a few seconds to several minutes of waiting
  • Repair the car with helmets without having to wait
  • Do not repair, the car will then be slower and you will lose
    acceleration.

After a few races the game seems really nice and the graphics
are truly breathtaking. However, I would still put a little
downside on the freemium side which will quickly require patience throughout
less until you can afford multiple cars.

Be patient, the game should be available very quickly on the App Store…
and why not this evening? If so
it will be available at this address for iPhone and iPad
