3D Touch could disappear from all new 2019 iPhones

For cost reasons, the iPhone XR lacks the technology3D Touch. This makes the screen sensitive to pressure and allows you to trigger different actions by pressing more or less hard on the screen.

Instead, Apple introduced an alternative whose marketing name isHaptic Touch. It's actually justa prolonged press, followed by haptic feedback. A new report from Barclays analysts claims that the3D Touch would be replaced by Haptic Touchon all future iPhones.

The analysts in question would have contacted Apple's suppliers in Asia to obtain this information. the Wall Street Journal also mentioned this possibility last January.

At the moment, with iOS 12, the use of Haptic Touch is still very limited, butApple gradually extends functionality to the interface, as iOS updates.

iPhone XR users can currently use Haptic Touch on the lock screen with the Torch and Camera button, as well as in the Control Center.

It is also possible to keep your finger pressed on the keyboard space bar,to enter trackpad mode. With iOS 12.1.1, Haptic Touch has beenextended to notifications, to see the content of rich notifications and use different action buttons.

Not sure that the replacement of 3D Touch will appeal to certain enthusiasts and regulars of this technology. Unless Haptic Touch rises to the same level as 3D Touch, with iOS 13, we are thinking in particular of quick actions on application icons or even the preview of web links.
