Apple's video game subscription service launched last September has been seen on the Apple.com site in recent hours. Indeed, the Cupertino company has featured the heroes of several games exclusive to the Apple Arcade catalog, such as Sonic, Frogger, or even Pac-Man and certain Lego characters on the first page of its website.
By going toApple.com, we could, during the day yesterday, see them turning around iPads, riding a MacBook, or even climbing an iPhone, all staged in a rather amusing and successful way.
The animations no longer seem visible now, but a video illustrating everything is available on YouTube, signed by our colleagues at 9to5Mac.
We can see how the Apple page looked during these hours of highlighting Apple Arcade.
In addition, to complete this original animated promotion, the Californian firm has also put two new advertisements online. Here is the first, called “Apple Arcade – A new world to play in”.
In this short video of just over a minute, players and their avatars from Apple Arcade games sing along to the songWelcome to My Worldby Dean Martin.
We appreciate the nice result which has the gift of putting different titles of Apple's service in a very poetic way. In addition, the video makes you want to try it.
The second ad is just as original and completely taps into one of the biggest trends of the moment, game streaming on Twitch.
The video, called “Apple Arcade – Oceanhorn 2 livestream”, features the hero of the game Oceanhorn 2 precisely in the form of a completely classic-looking Twitch stream. The idea seemed good to us and the result is mastered. We let ourselves be caught up in the game of this imaginary stream.
Remember that the Apple Arcade subscription gives access to a catalog of exclusive games, for the sum of 4.99 euros monthly, or 49.99 euros per year. Go to the Arcade tab of the App Store app on iOS to try it, the first month is free.
What do you think of these Apple Arcade promotions, on the Apple website and in videos? And who among you is registered with Apple Arcade?
