Apple just celebrated a birthday unlike any other on January 24. Indeed, it was the 40th anniversary of the presentation of the Macintosh, made by Steve Jobs himself. Apple's iconic product, theMacintoshwill have brought the apple brand into another dimension.

Another era

40 years ago, the presentation of new Apple products did not take place on YouTube videos broadcast live around the world. No, the Apple brand rather gathered its shareholders in a large conference room before the various thinking heads of the firm took the floor.
Thus the presentation of the Macintosh took place during a very classic board meeting. The latter began with the reading of the agenda by the CEO at the time, John Sculley. It continues with the speech ofSteve Jobs.
We had to wait more than half an hour during this meeting for the Macintosh to finally be presented. It was Steve Jobs who first referred to it as an “incredibly brilliant” device. The teams who worked on the design of the first personal computer in history share the stage and all take the microphone to explain how they worked on the project, and how it differentiates itself from the competition.
Bill Gates was present
Symbol of another era, the Macintosh then works with… Microsoft software. If Apple is already working on its own version of an OS, the future macOS, Bill Gates is a major ally for the Macintosh. Indeed, with his company Microsoft, he offers several unique software applications in the world.
As such, Bill Gates was present during the 1984 presentation of the Macintosh, he even spoke on stage to explain the solutions provided by his company.
