We had the opportunity to
discover Netatmo's new high-tech gadget (called Welcome) during
our passage toCES 2015. It is in fact a camera with characteristics
very interesting which allows you to keep an eye on your home when you are away. HAS
the image of his
very popular weather station, Netatmo has ensured thatthe
Welcomeis also an easy-to-use product.
The Welcome has a 1080p HD camera capable of rotating 130° to
broaden your field of vision. The camera also has agreat power
night vision, allowing you to see in the dark, and is equipped
of afacial recognition technologydeveloped by
Netatmo. Welcome can thus recognize all members of the family and
alert the user when an unfamiliar face is detected.
In addition to its sleek design and its anodized aluminum coating, the camera
Netatmo allows data to be securely stored on a microSD card
(included), without any storage costs (this isdifferent for the Withings solution
seen there). Access to the videos recorded by the camera is done from
the iPhone, using a dedicated application, or from a computer.
Netatmo also allows you to personalize the settings of
confidentiality of his camera. You can thus deactivate video recording
or notifications on a case-by-case basis, for example so as not to spy on your
companion or his teenagers!
In addition to the camera,Tags» have also been developed by Netatmo to detect
movement and communicate with the camera. We can thus place the Tags
Welcome on its doors, windows, gate or mailbox, in order to be
notified as soon as they open.
The Tags can be placed up to 100m from the camera and even report the
slightest beat. They have a battery life of up to two years (before having to
change the batteries) and are waterproof.
