Apple big leader in smartphone activations at Christmas, and other stats

He will not have
had to wait a long time to have the first estimates and trends
regarding thesmartphone sales and activations this Christmas
2014.

It's Flurry who has just drawn with stats measured thanks to the very
many applications using the application statistics service
mobile, present on the various mobile platforms on the market.

Result, the traces of new smartphones activated after the passage of
Santa Claus seem to show avery good performance from Apple
against Samsung, Nokia, Sony and LG:

Apple achieves the performance of representing more than half of
activations (51%), compared to Samsung (Android) in second position with 17%.
Nokia (Windows Phone) but also Sony and LG share the places
next in the top 5.

Seen another way, Flurry indicates that for each Samsung smartphone unboxed,
Apple had sold almost 3 (2.9), while for a Microsoft Lumia
activated, almost 9 iPhones were used for the first time (8.8 to be
accurate).

The success of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which made them available
delicate since their release therefore seems to be confirmed with these first
trends.

But Flurry provides other interesting figures, concerningthe
size of machines, including tablets
as well as the evolution of a
year over year since 2012:

It can be seen that theshare of tablets is decreasing
constant
, than that of medium-sized smartphones (like iPhone 6,
Samsung Galaxy S5) is preponderant but only logically with the arrival
of Apple in this segment, the share of large screen phones (called "phablets",
example iPhone 6 Plus or Galaxy Note) is increasing.

A Merry Christmas for Apple this year obviously.
