Apple is reportedly developing the second edition of its best wireless headphones. So far nothing surprising: the latest version already dates from 2019, as for the AirPods before they were just renewed in October. It would therefore make sense for the top-of-the-range model to also benefit from a serious update, two years after its first marketing with the success that we know of.
According to the Twitter account @FrontTron, which had already predicted the release of the AirPods 3 on the right date, the AirPods Pro 2 would arrive between July and September 2022. It is impossible to have a more precise calendar at the moment, however we knows that Apple has the habit of organizing a keynote in September each year. From there to assuming that a conference dedicated in part to second generation AirPods Pro will be planned at the same time, there is only one step.
Release dates 💯

What could change
For the moment, the technical characteristics of this possible device are of course not known either. But according to various rumors shared here and there beforehand, we can already hypothesize thatthe AirPods Pro 2 could abandon their famous “stem” in favor of a more discreet design, which would then leave the way open for better differentiation of the range.
Going even further, we can also assume that the second AirPods Pro will beequipped with ultrasound to be better installed in the ears of their wearers. This is in fact what a recent patent filed by Apple seems to demonstrate, but the short-term content of which of course remains very uncertain. It is therefore not uncommon to see Cupertino wait several years before deploying its ideas on the market, when the prototypes in question are not simply nipped in the bud.
Focus on health?
Moreover, we also know very little about the other features that could arrive on the AirPods Pro. However, we must not forget that with Apple Fitness+ now available in France, the Apple company is now very committed to health. Will we one day see the duo loaded with additional sensors like a heart rate monitor or other key components of the Series 7? Maybe…
