Since its launch
French in May 2017, the Google Home speaker currently has no
serious competitor on the French market, but that could soon change
with the upcoming arrival of the heavyweight in the sector, the Alexa assistant
d’Amazon.
Indeed, according to sources from the tech site Tomsguide, Amazon is preparing the
launch of Alexa in Francewith an outing planned for the
next April 14, while the HomePod is designed for
arrive in spring in France.
It seems that the difficulty in translating the French language has pushed back
several times launching Alexa. But soon, French users
will be able to try Amazon's voice assistant which dominates the American market with
currently 75% market share of smart speakers.
However, there are still some unknown details about Alexa's arrival in
France, there is currently no confirmation on the arrival of speakers
Amazon which should accompany the launch of the voice assistant.
However, in Germany, Amazon launched the Echo and Dot speakers in
parallel to its voice assistant. It is therefore likely that the retail giant
en ligne adopts a similar strategy for the French market or launches
other Alexa-enabled products, like the Echo Spot or Fire TV.
Are you ready to give the French version of Alexa a chance?
