__It’s no longer a secret, the application
iOS 6 plans need improvement and Tim Cook himself admitted this in
a
open letter we talked about here.
However, once this observation is made, all that remains is to get back to the
working to fix the problems and that is precisely what Apple seems to have
done since thewe can already see some
improvements.
The work being titanic, Apple employees and even us, can
report problems to apple. Here's how to do it:
Typically, when something goes wrong, criticism is easy.
However, you also need to know how to recognize when things are improving.
Thus, some may have noticed that improvements have already been made
made to Plans.
As you can see below, FlyOver (the 3D view described here with
the different places to discover) has for example benefited from improvements while
recently and certain buildings have come out of the ground such as for example the
Statue of liberty(which was really missing, a stone's throw from a
Manhattan in 3D, it was completely flat at sea level…). In the forums
many sites we can read here and there that Apple seems little by little to borrow the
path to improvement… But the road will be long.
In order to speed up this process, in addition to recruitingold from
Google having worked in the field, it seems that Apple has also decided
to put its employees to work.Without us really knowing
how, several sites including Macrumors seem to argue thatApple
could free up working time for Apple Store employees so that they
can identify and report inconsistencies in Plans in their
sector.
Finally, for our part, we can also participate in this
improvement by reporting problems identified during our
using Blueprintsand particularly with regard to the points
of interest. So, in the application itself, you will just have to fold the
sheet as to change mode (plane, satellite, etc.) and press 'A
issue ?'. You will then access this screen asking you to report the
issue.
We do not yet know at what speed, or under what conditions, these
data will be processed, but it is certain that it will be valuable for
Apple. This is the same way Google Maps became so precise
(but it took several years).
In the end, Apple will certainly not communicate about it right away but
we should see continuous improvements in Plans in
the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you can't get used to this
version :
