Apple's HomePod speaker was originally
planned for a December 2017 launch in the US market, however
Apple had postponed the release of HomePod until early 2018, and this
new product from the Apple firm will have to face competition already
well established.
According to analysts from the GBH firm, Apple's HomePod speaker should be
launched in4 to 6 weeks, but she will have to face a
fierce competition fromfrom Amazon and Googlewho have
took advantage of the end-of-year holidays and CES to strengthen their position
major players in this new market.
The GBH firm believes that two factors will complicate the launch task
of HomePod, themissed Christmas window, but from
major electronic tech show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Amazon took advantage of Christmas shopping to strengthen its leadership position
with an aggressive pricing policy, which allows the company to hold
currently approximately75% market sharespeakers
intelligent.
Google takes advantage of the CES show in Las Vegas to promote its Google speaker
Home from different brands and add new products to the catalog
devices compatible with Google's voice assistant.
Apple, however, has relied on a different approach to the competition, in
promising much better sound quality than competing speakers, in
more ability to use voice commands via Siri to control
HomeKit-enabled devices.
It remains to be seen the first reviews when it will be available and if it
manages to convince users despite its premium price.
