Mapstr is an application developed by a French studio that allows you to remember your favorite places (restaurants, stores, specialized stores, hotels, etc.). It can be very useful during a vacation, since thanks to the sharing functionality with friends, you can benefit from the list of other people's favorite places. So, having just arrived in a new city that you don't yet know, you can take advantage of the good tips from experts and local residents with ease.
In our series“Holidays in apps”, here is Mapstr, to find out the favorite addresses of local people.
Mapstr: the best addresses in the surrounding area
The operation of the application is very simple. Using a map that displays the surroundings of our location, we can start recording our favorite places. Two ways to do it, either you enter the exact address of the place directly, or you touch an area of the map, which displays the different surrounding places of interest.

You can add places all over the world and create your own guide to good addresses. But Mapstr goes further by adding a social function, that is to say that by connecting to friends who also use the application, you can share your list of good addresses with them, or consult theirs with their permission.

The idea being to be able to take advantage of good deals from connoisseurs in new places. For example, if a friend was in New York last year and filled up his Mapstr list with good addresses, he can share it with us to make our next trip to the Big Apple city easier.

The app isparticularly well done, pretty and pleasant to use. It is not for nothing that she wasrewardedof aApp Awarda few years ago.
