As a general rule, it is not in
Apple's habits of making announcements about market developments in
outside of keynotes and
publication of its financial results.
However, hisdirector Tim Cook
just broke this habit via the social network Twitterby sharing
the fact that theApp Store had a record month of July in terms of
income:
Apple had indicated when announcing its
financial results in Julythat the App Store had experienced a very
beautiful second quarter with no less than 4.5 billion dollars in turnover
business, an increase of 12%.
The App Store is therefore doing well with acumulative of 75 billion
downloadssince its creation in 2008. At the same time, Apple
announces having returned 20 billion dollars to developers, half of which
just over the last 12 months.
Tim Cook one
take this opportunity to thank the developerswho actively participate in
the evolution of its catalog of applications which has just beaten a new
record in this month of July, even if no figures have of course been
advance :
This nice record could well be beaten in the coming quarters thanks to
to the 1.2 million titles that make up the application catalog
d’Apple.
