Usually, Apple Silicon chips are announced at the same time as MacBook Pros.

We also thought that this preview implementation of the M4 in the iPad was intended to offer AI features exclusive to the iPad Pro. This is indeed the case, but Apple has also given another reason for this exclusivity.

OLED wouldn't have anything to do with it

The new OLED screen of the iPad Pro presented by Apple uses unique technology, which offers breathtaking visual rendering. In order to support this, the Apple firm has developed a brand new display engine. It's about technologyDisplay Engine, Whorequires considerable graphics processing power, and this is where the chipM4comes into play. 38 billion operations per second for AI

In addition to its graphics capabilities, the M4 is intended to run artificial intelligence engines in an exceptional way. According to Apple, the neural engine that equips the M4 can performup to 38 trillion operations per second. According to Apple, this is faster than any current AI PC. We imagine that internet geeks will not hesitate to check it out.

Today's announcements are what we expected, especially concerning the M4, the OLED. Concerning AI however, we expected more announcements from Apple, but we will have to wait for the next conference in June.To read the summary of that of May 7, it's here.
