The Apple firm has just deployed new software versions for three of its devices. This concerns its connected speakerHomePod, as well as headphonesBeats Fit Pro et Powerbeats Pro.
What's new for HomePod?
As a reminder, HomePod generally follows iPhone updates, which is still the case today. While the latest version of iOS has beenmade available by Cupertino yesterday, the firm has at the same time released the one for its living room speaker, which bears the same number, namely the17.1.1.
Apple's smart speaker hadalso received an upgrade several weeks ago, in September, following the arrival of iOS 17. This update brought major new features. Like support for AirPlay by Siri, adding new controls to mute or unmute a call via HomePod, as well as improving dialogue. The speaker has since received update 17.1. It enabled support for dialog enhancement for HomePod mini and first generation.
Regarding the latest version 17.1.1,this does not bring anything new, but aims tocorrect the difficultiesencountered by users since previous upgrades. Many people complain of problemsprocessing queries with Siri.
What about the headphones?
Regarding the Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro, like the AirPods, Apple does not communicate on the content of the updates. We just know that the new version of the firmware is called6B27. The latter should also be installed automatically via Bluetooth once the headphones are linked to an Apple device connected to the Internet.
