Update – Apple reveals the winners of the 2021 Design Awards

A few hours ago, the Californian firm unveiled the list of winners of the 2021 Design Awards. Remember that the Design Awards are awarded each year during WWDC and that they aim to highlight applications present on the App Store for some of their characteristics: graphic beauty, original concept, inclusive ergonomics, etc. These are not necessarily the most downloaded applications that we find there, nor even the most well-known names, but rather thebest apps from the app store, according to Apple.

Here are the winners, by category, with the finalists indicated each time. Take the opportunity to take a look at the App Store page for each application or game, you will certainly make some great discoveries.

Category “Inclusivity”

This category rewards applications that successfully enable users with physical or mental difficulties to improve their daily lives.

HoloVista

An augmented reality video game, supporting many of iOS's accessibility features and allowing users with different kinds of disabilities to fully enjoy it.

In this category, Apple wants to reward applications that support a notable social impact, an exchange of value between people.

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure

Adventure game from the creators of Monument Valley and Assemble with Care, in which you have to convince volunteers in the game to progress in the adventure.

Be My Eyes

Connects people with vision difficulties and volunteer users without vision difficulties. The latter can help the former to identify objects, complete documents and more generally, provide them with important visual aid via a video exchange, for example.

Apps and games of unparalleled visual beauty are what we find in this category.

Genshin Impact

Extremely popular action adventure game on the App Store (4.7 stars out of 5 with over 170,000 ratings), visually striking.

Loon

A relaxation application with noise generation and different nature sounds, all presented in an extremely sophisticated interface.

The category name speaks for itself. The applications selected here offer innovative, innovative and sometimes unique concepts.

League of Legends: Wild Rift
