Foxconn, Pegatron et Wistron, three Apple suppliers, announced this Monday that they would launch a 5-year investment plan in India. They will thus benefit from the PLI, the Indian production incentive program. Funded by the government to the tune of $6.65 billion, this major investment plan hopes to be able to increase the number of smartphones sold in India and which have been produced in the country.
Foxconn is perhaps the best-known provider on this list. He plans to invest up to40 billionof rupees - the equivalent of 542 million dollars - in the creation of new production factories dedicated to Apple. For their part, Pegatron and Wistron have planned to invest 13 and 12 billion rupees respectively, or approximately 175 and 160 million dollars.

For the moment the information related to this investment announcement has not been confirmed, neither by Apple's suppliers nor by the government. But several sources agree that the discussions have been finalized for several days already.
