Keynote iPhone 14: feedback from the audience and announcements made on stage

Apple aheresent press invitations to numerous journalists around the world. Particularity of the maneuver, the message signed by the Californian firm specifies that the guests areexpected in person on site, at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park, Cupertino, California.

This seems to mean that this iPhone 14 keynote, officially nicknamed “Far Out”,will sign the return of announcements made on stage, with audience. If this is indeed the case, this would be a significant change. The last major Apple conference with an audience and announcements made in real time was in 2019. Precisely, on September 10 of this year, Tim Cook and his senior officials unveiled the iPhone 11 and the Apple Watch Series 5, among others.

Apple Keynote: more audiences since 2020

In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, all conferences of the year, WWDC (June), Apple Watch Series 6 (September), iPhone 12 (October) and Apple silicon (November) took place without an audience. These were video montages brilliantly mixing announcement speeches, interviews and demonstration clips. In 2021 and until the March 2022 conference that revealed the iPhone SE and the Mac Studio, Apple kept this same “virtual” format. For WWDC 2022, we saw a first step towards a return to normal, with students and developers invited on site. The show's opening conference, however, was still limited to a video broadcast on the web and on a big screen in Apple Park.

We would therefore have to wait until September 7 to see Apple once again embrace an Apple Event as we knew it before the coronavirus pandemic. This virtual parenthesis lasted more than 2 years.

Remember that the upcoming Apple Event should see Tim Cook announcenew iPhonesand a new oneApple Watch Series 8. AApple Watch Procould also constitute the famous “One More Thing”. We will obviously not fail to detail everything for you on the big day, particularly in the context of live text monitoring.
