Apple M1X: the M1, only better
The new generation of the most expensive MacBook should therefore integrate not an M1 chip, but a chip currently called M1X. It would support 12 a 12-core CPU, when the M1 only has 8. Of these 12 cores, 8 would be high-performance cores, and 4 would be so-called efficient cores (with an optimized power/consumption ratio).
Logically, the GPU part should also be better than what the M1 chip currently offers. We should also be able to count on more RAM on the next SoC. Indeed, this is one of the current limitations of the Apple M1 chip. It only seems to support 16 GB of RAM. And even if 16 GB of RAM integrated into the SoC is much more efficient on an Apple Silicon platform than on an Intel platform to date, professionals would like to be able to go up to 32 or even 64 GB for their heavy video editing, graphics or even applications. sound image processing.
