These three old Apple products could make a comeback

According to recent information gleaned from Mark Gurman's latest report on the Apple brand, three old products sold in recent years could be entitled to an update and thus be available again on the Apple online store.

An improved HomePod to end the year?

According to Gurman it isyou HomePod(full-sized) iMac Pro as well as the classic 12-inch MacBook. To start with Apple's small connected speaker, the latter was abandoned at the beginning of 2021, the Cupertino company wanting to focus on the production and sale of the mini version of the speaker.

But for Gurman, the HomePod is not dead and a new version of the connected speaker should see the light of day in the coming months. Closer to the original product, this new HomePod would be entitled to better audio quality, and a brand new display on the top.

Gurman also spoke in a previous reportof a hybrid product, both an Apple TV, but also a HomePod and a device capable of making FaceTime calls like Facebook Portal. We don't know much about this device at the moment, and Gurman himself has expressed many reservations about it.

New in MacBooks and iMac Pros

Regardingthe classic 12-inch MacBooknow the device has been sidelined by successive MacBook Air and Pro updates over the past two years. Still not available with an Apple Silcion chip, the 12-inch MacBook could well be one of the surprise guests at the end of the year from Apple.

For the moment, Gurman remains very cautious about the development of this new computer which has not been updated since 2015. In a latest edition of his Power On newsletter, the Bloomberg journalist announced that Apple was working on a computer 12-inch laptop, but Gurman didn't specify whether it was a MacBook Pro or a "classic" MacBook.

Finally, the iMac Pro should also be entitled to a new update. While the iMac was entitled to a switch to Apple Silicon chips this year, the Pro model of Apple's desktop computers should also be entitled to its transformation. Released at the end of 2017,l’iMac Prohas still not been updated by Apple, which could do so before the end of the year.
