Launched in
June 2015, with a free trial period for 3 months, the service
music streaming from Apple, seems to be enjoying some success.
Indeed, according to the American newspaper, The Financial Times,Apple
Music would have exceeded ten million paying subscribers. It is
a significant step which still represents more than half of the subscribers
of Spotify, and this in less than a year.
Last October, Apple announced 6.5 million subscribers, which means
an increase of more than 3.5 million subscribers in three months.
The release last November of an app dedicated to Apple Music on Google
Play Store, has certainly helped the service reach this number of subscribers.
Apple Music stands out from other services by offering a real station
online radio station, Beats 1, hosted by famous DJs like Zane Lowe. Even
free Apple Music users can listen to this radio station
which runs 24 hours a day and which aims to attract new users
(paid if possible) on the service.
In addition, Apple would have filed on November 13, the trademarks Beats 2,
Beats 3, Beats 4 and Beats 5, which suggests that Apple is preparing
new radio stationsin addition to the current
station Beats 1.
Finally, the Cupertino company often signs exclusive partnerships with
artists, likeTaylor Swiftwho will broadcast the film of his "1989" tour on
Apple's streaming service.
These are quite a few assets that should help Apple Music increase the number
subscribers, and perhaps even surpass Spotify.
