Alongside two Apple Watchesincluding an SE edition, a new iPad Air was presented with great fanfare at Apple Park a few minutes ago. This time, however, we see clear improvements compared to the previous model. Starting with arevisited design, which is reminiscent of that of the iPad Pro that we discovered a little earlier in 2020. The colors are also now more numerous.
The processor that powers the beast is also entitled to a serious update. It is like this40% more powerfulas the component of the 2019 version, and now bears the name A14. In addition, as expected, it is engraved with a precision of only five nanometers compared to seven previously. Likewise, the GPU here is twice as efficient as before.

The return of Touch ID
Many thought that the next iPad Air would have facial recognition as is the case on our iPhones. Ultimately this is not the case, but biometric unlocking is indeed there with this time afingerprint scanner moved into buttonon/off.
Another welcome change: theMagic Keyboard compatibility, whose effectiveness we praised in our test. You can find it on video at this address. Finally, for the prices, it will be €669 in the 64 GB version and €839 in the 256 GB version, to which you will have to add €140 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions.
