Will Apple Pay cross US borders this summer?

With the iPhone 6, Apple has finally integrated
an NFC chip in its range of smartphones. This one, restricted, cannot be used
for one use only: Apple Pay. Apple what?

We would almost have forgotten what this very Anglo-Saxon name covers… It
it is in fact the payment solution by iPhone, and Apple Watch
now offered by Apple in the US. This service, certainly very practical
has in fact not crossed the borders of the United States, like iTunes Radio
Besides.

But maybe the wait will come to an end? In any case, this is what
what could a tweet suggest before it was denied

KBC bank having deployed NFC payment solutions for its cardholders
cards, she found herself challenged by a customer on Twitter. This one
asking himwhen he could use Apple Pay. Answer
enthusiastic through the same channel: "it will be possible this summer
!"

It was enough to give rise to the hope of seeingApple
Pay deployed internationallyafter the Apple conference whichva
mark the start of WWDC 2015. After all, an announcement to this effect would have
a strong impact and above all it would prevent a year and a year from happening
generation before non-US iPhone NFC users can enjoy
the new feature of iOS8.

But that was without counting a denial that subsequently arrived on the same account
Twitter: after the first tweet, the bank repeatedly indicated
that she didn't have this in her sights.

solutions. Apple Pay is currently not yet in scope. Our
apologies"

So what to think? There are of course two hypotheses
obvious: the bank's Twitter correspondent got excited and
responded stating that Apple Pay support was coming. He got
misled, confused with something else and had to backpedal quickly.

The other hypothesis could be that indeed the support of the solution
payment from Apple is indeed on the agenda, but in this case, faced with a
communication blunder, the bank had to quickly react and turn off the
"leak". We don't talk about Apple's projects until Apple has
communiqué.

It is difficult at this stage to decide between the two. But we are natural
optimistic, so we retain a slight hope of seeing Apple Pay arrive before
l’iPhone 6s …
