It's now official, Apple has just updated its Apple Pencil. The Apple brand presents a new device with a USB-C charging port, a first for the smart stylus. Other big news for users, the price of this new Apple Pencil is much lower than the 2nd generation at only €95 (compared to €149).
Perfect for taking notes or drawing, the Apple Pencil has already found a place in many homes over the years. Launched for the first time in 2015 by the Apple brand, the stylus quickly became a must-have for everyone who uses the iPad on a daily basis.
Since the arrival of the M1 chip in the iPad Pro in 2021, the Apple tablet has taken on a new dimension, bringing with it its white stylus.

What's new for this USB-C version ?
The arrival of this new version, almost 5 years after the release of the second generation, could however disappoint many users. Indeed, Apple is introducing almost no new features in its stylus, worse still, certain options that were found on the original version of the Pencil (in 2015) have disappeared.
In particular, it loses the wireless charging and automatic pairing functionality when magnetizing the top of the tablet. The latter is, however, always possible.

The new Apple Pencil is sold by the Apple brand at a price of €95. This price can even go down to €85 for people who benefit from the “education” discount. It is compatible with all tablets with a USB-C charging port. Here is the complete list:
