Apple TV+: 62% of subscribers benefit from the free offer

Since the launch of its streaming service in November 2019, Apple has done everything to attract new customers. This includes offering a one-year, no-cost, no-obligation subscription to the platform for all buyers of new products from the Apple brand: iPhone, Mac, iPad, iPod touch, etc.

Apple TV+ still has to convince

Only a few days ago, the Cupertino company just announced good news for its users with an extension of the offeruntil next July. This commercial practice seems to be very attractive. Thus, according to a recent study conducted by the analysis company MoffetNathan, 62% of Apple TV+ users benefit from this measure.

Except that this investigation also reveals very bad news for Apple. Among the customers who take advantage of the free offer, only 30% intend to continue their subscription at the end of the offer. 29% are certain not to do so, while the others are still hesitant.

This data is worrying for Apple, which does not seem to be as attractive as its competitors. During the same survey, 48% of Disney+ subscribers, who benefit from a discount, are for example sure to resubscribe.

There is therefore an urgent need to convince and this is precisely what Apple is trying to do by investing in numerous original programs. Big names in the seventh art will be there and we recently learned thatJoaquin Phoenixwas going to play Napoleon in a new Ridley Scott film that will stream exclusively on the service.
