Apple has decided to break the codes. Used to conferences at 7 p.m., the apple brand is presenting two new products from 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17. With the Mac mini M2, it updates an iconic device in its history. Marketed with a simple press release, the Mac mini M2 is above all touted by Apple as“more affordable”.
The Cupertino company is far from lying to us, since it offers the entry-level of its small desktop computer at €699, or €100 less than the one with the M1 chip released more than two years ago. The device is available in two versions, onewith an M2 processor and the other with the “Pro” version of the latter.
The higher-end model has 12 CPU cores (up from 10) and 19 GPU cores (up from 10). According to Apple's tests, the M2 version would be 3.5 times more powerful than the one sold with an Intel chip. With the “Pro” chip, the Mac mini becomes a real racing beast 4.7 times faster than its big brother.

The price: already its best argument?
The new Mac mini models can be ordered today, and will be available starting Tuesday, January 24. In terms of price, the M2 version starts at €699 for 256 GB of storage.
