The iPod touch hadn't been updated since 2015 and the 6th generation model. Until this morning, the latter was even still on sale. But its characteristics were aging, with its A8 chip, its 32 or 128 GB of storage and its 8 megapixel camera.
It's now a thing of the past and after recently returning the iPad mini to the catalog, it's the turn of Apple's touchscreen player to undergo a real internal makeover.
