Ce weekend,Apple opened
the first Apple Store in Belgiumin the presence of Tim Cook. If the boss
of Apple was present, it was not only because it was the first
Belgian Apple Store (yes!), but also because it is one of the first Apple
New generation store.
Angela Ahrendts, senior vice president of Apple Stores and
online sales, took care of the opening of the new Apple Store
"Infinite Loop" at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, known for being the only Apple
Store in the world selling non-tech products with the Apple logo, such as
t-shirts, mugs, etc…
The Belgian Apple Store is separated from the exterior by a glass wall made up of
several glass panels welded to each other, and which even goes as far as
bend in the corners.
Apple has reduced the number of illuminated panels that highlight their
products, and used the space thus gained to install a giant screen which
will have multiple uses (presentation of Apple products, training
Apple staff, etc.).
Apple has also brought greenery into its stores with
real trees in large pots lined up in two rows, they will grow in
the Apple Stores.
Another new feature, the famous wooden presentation tables are now
sensitive to movement, when a person passes their hand near one of them,
a panel with power outlets (and other connectors) deploys (see
at 1:18 in the video).
The next Apple Stores to be opened will follow this new specification.
charges established by Angela Ahrendts.
