Apple TV+ does not release the same quantity of programs as platforms like Netflix or Disney+. But when it launches, the streaming service focuses above all on quality, and the release of the documentary seriesPrehistoric Planetshould once again not deviate from this rule.
The latter, five episodes long, will be broadcast from Monday May 23 and until Friday May 27. As its name suggests, it will plunge us into prehistory and, more precisely, 66 million years ago. A first trailer has just been shared.
A dive into the daily life of dinosaurs
Produced by Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton, this program is created in partnership with BBC Studios Natural History Unit. The British public audiovisual group is also regularly praised for the quality of its documentaries. Hans Zimmer, the famous musician, was called to the rescue for the original soundtrack.
On its site, Apple describes as follows:Prehistoric Planet:
Prehistoric Planet presents little-known and surprising facts about the life of dinosaurs against the backdrop of Cretaceous era environments, including coastlines, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds and forests. From revealing Tyrannosaurus parenting techniques to exploring the mysterious depths of the oceans and deadly dangers in the skies, Prehistoric Planet brings Earth's history to life like never before.
Suffice to say that this documentary series should amaze us. The appointment has already been made for May 23 on Apple TV+.
