Apple TV+: after Amazon, Apple will also broadcast football

It's signed: Apple has just closeda 10-year agreement, for the broadcast of football matches exclusively, on its platform, Apple TV+. After recovering the broadcasting rights for theAmerican baseball league, the Californian firm is taking a big step forward in the world of sports streaming.

After Amazon and Ligue 1, here comes Apple and MLS

MLS (Major League Soccer), the first football league in the United States, will therefore see its matches broadcast on Apple TV+from 2023, until 2032.

Anyone can benefit from it, provided they are of course an Apple TV+ subscriber. But there will be nono geoblocking, which will allow all football fans, in France for example, to follow MLS teams.

If it is not the championship offering the best football, some of its matches remain interesting. Even more so when teams like Los Angeles FC or New York City FC and New York Red Bulls are playing. And then the league is recognized for discovering more and more very young talented players.

This partnership with Apple TV+ will certainly put MLS in the spotlight around the world. And Apple, at the same time, is enriching its catalog of sports content, in particular to try to catch up with Amazon, which has been strong recently, by buying the rights to broadcast Rolland-Garros and Ligue 1 football matches.
