Apple Watch Series 8: what redesign for the connected watch?

Next September, we should see the release of the new Apple Watch Series 8. As usual, the Cupertino company remains very discreet on this subject, and it reserves its announcements for a presentation keynote.

Towards an impressive redesign for the Apple Watch Series 8?

This does not prevent certain experts from obtaining information on this subject, and this is precisely the case from journalist Mark Gurman. In its latest Power On newsletter published onBloomberg, the latter therefore provided some clarifications.

According to him, the high-end model of the Apple Watch Series 8 will be a little larger than the Apple brand's current connected watches. He specifies that the screen will be 7% larger.

Other information revealed by Mark Gurman, this high-end model will offer a redesign of the Apple Watch, a first since the launch of the Series 4 in 2018. According to him, it will no longer be circular but rectangular in shape. It therefore calls into question certain previous noises which seemed to indicate a square shape.

The journalist also mentions a titanium case which would make this object connected “more robust". Another advantage: it would have a battery life of several days per charge using a low consumption mode.

In terms of the health features of this watch, the contributions here would be lighter, although we can hope for a body temperature sensor. This does not prevent Mark Gurman from hoping that it will be "of one of the company's most exciting product launches this year.»
