Apple may not be presentat CES in Las Vegas, but many manufacturers of accessories for its products were there. And among the most impressive products aimed at fans of the Apple brand, there is the Mudra Band bracelet. Behind this name, which probably means nothing to you, there is a somewhat special bracelet for the Apple Watch. Packed with technology, it allows you to control your Apple devices remotely, without touching them, like magic.
Whether it's an iPhone, Mac, Apple TV or iPad, the bracelet works like a remote control. But instead of pressing buttons, the user only has to make hand and finger gestures.
This is possible thanks to a series of sensors embedded in the bracelet. These sensors detect signals sent from the brain to the user's hand, then these signals are converted into information that allows control of the interfaces of iOS, iPadOS, macOS and iPadOS.
Intuitive gestures
As you can see in the video below, the gestures to use are very intuitive. To control the cursor, simply move your arm. For an equivalent of the click, simply pinch with your fingers. There is even an equivalent of the long press, which allows you to open the menus of certain interfaces. And of course, it's also easy to scroll the screen content with gesture combinations.
And the Mudra Band can be connected to multiple devices at the same time. Switching from one device to another is done via an interface on the Apple Watch screen.
The Mudra Band retails for $349 in the United States. And it is compatible with 38mm, 40mm, 41mm, 42mm, 44mm, 45mm, and 49mm models.
Otherwise, it's important to note that Apple has already developed a similar feature for the Apple Watch. This, however, is very limited and only allows you to control certain functions of the watch without touching the screen.
