Update July 21, 20201: Battery is available. She isin stock on the Apple website, delivered within 1 day or available within a few hours for collection in several Apple Stores in France.
While many had almost given up on the idea of seeing it come out one day and others even feared a flopto the AirPower, Apple has finally launched its new external battery. This is currently only available in one color, namely white. Marked MagSafe, the device is attached to the phone via magnetic technology which has already renewed the success of the eponymous range for several months.
As is often the case, the manufacturer unfortunately does not specify the exact capacity of its battery. However, taking a closer look at one of the official photos of the product, we can easily see that this figure actually reaches 1,460 mAh: the strict minimum, therefore. Indeed, it is enough to compare this number to the technical sheet of the smallest mobile compatible with the device - the iPhone 12 mini - to understand that it will be impossible to fully recharge its 2,227 mAh. However, it is still a little better thanthe 1,430 mAh that can still be found in the Smart Battery Case for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

Compatibility
The new MagSafe external batterycurrently only works with four iPhone models. These are the most recent:
- l’iPhone 12 mini (format compact)
- the “classic” iPhone 12
- l’iPhone 12 Pro
- the iPhone 12 Pro Max and its 6.7-inch screen
Among this quartet, only one is often singled out for its reduced autonomy. This is the iPhone 12 mini, whose successor's future seems far from reassured. It must be said that its qualities pale in comparison to the monstrous performance of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, supported by a 3,687 mAh battery this time.
